The OA LodgeMaster team is happy to announce the immediate release of Version 1.1.4! We've fixed all of the open bugs that users reported and also made some improvements to the inner workings of the program for synchronization and membership manager.
Go to https://lodgemaster.oa-bsa.org/softwareupdate/ to download the update. You don't need to reinstall anything, the update is just over 1 meg in size and runs in just a couple seconds. What Is Fixed In This Version?
Some major changes were made to the underlying code in a couple areas of the program to reduce sporadic user issues and improve stability.
- The service hour deletion issue mentioned in our last message has been fixed, and the service hour module can be used now without worry. We've also reviewed all other deletion functions throughout the program to ensure a similar problem could ever happen again.
- The synchronization logic was improved to remove the requirement of a direct connection to the server for the initial sync. Users who had trouble installing and received a message that “you must connect to the internet first” should now be able to run the program without issue.
- The logic for selecting members and moving between records in membership manager has been greatly improved. Problems which caused the message “failed to retrieve desired member” have been fixed . Also errors which users would periodically receive related to adding and removing members have been fixed. We've been able to work around a memory management issue in Access that caused all of these problems. We also improved the logic used by the largest lodges in the country for selecting and navigating members.
- We've added the requirements for quality lodge 2009 into the program.

What Isn't Fixed In This Version?
There are currently only 3 open bug reports, all of which are very minor and were reported since we began preparing for release. There are 0 open support requests currently.
What's Next In The Development Of LodgeMaster?
The next release will be focused on enhancements. Rob A. will be working on a set of major improvements to the finance module. Mike P. is going to be working on any bug reports as they come in and also working on some enhancements from the user-requested list.
We'll be working on some major projects leading up to NOAC this summer, including upgrading to the latest versions of SQL Server and the Microsoft Access Runtime. At NOAC this year, we'll be unveiling OALM-Online along with some new functionality in OALM-Desktop, along with providing in-depth training classes and a user-support lab.
